Siam Paragon was just a 5 minute walk from our hotel. So we went there for lunch and dinner.

Gourmet Eats

everydough Butter Tteok

Was excited to find butter tteok here, so cheers to my first ever taste of this dessert.

let's buy a bag

mission accomplished

sweet, firm and chewy and definitely buttery

I think butter tteok would taste better when it is toasted? No idea as we finished ours while waiting for for our queue number to be called at Thong Smith.

Little Bee Thai Crispy Crepe

box of 5 crepes (Khanom Bueang ขนมเบื้อง)

The flavours that I got were one savoury (dried shrimp), and four sweets; yam, coconut cream with coconut flesh, chocolate, and coconut cream with yolk thread.

Waited for about 15 minutes for the queue number to be called. Got a table a few minutes before 2pm.

It was pretty good. Now I understand their popularity.

sour plum soda to quench thirst

I enjoyed our lunch and we went walk walk around the mall to walk off some of the calories as well as to source our dinner venue for the next day (!)

Domo Yakiniku

This restaurant is at Level 4 and we were in the mood for more wagyu (!) We went there for dinner.

We could use our mobile phone to order. So, let's start!

marinated cherry tomatoes (appetiser)

nakaochi

beef tongue

assorted platter

let's get the grill going~

We had to remind ourselves that this is not a buffet! Thank you Hence for grilling the meats.

yummy in the making

Beef tongue was the group's favourite cut and that was evident because on the bill, we found 4 orders of tongue (!)

For me, I like the jo karubi's texture and its fats ratio.

let's munch on some leaves too~

Ordered a beef rice pot to share. This was the only dish where the staff will help to mix and dish out into a bowl.

beef rice pot with matsutake mushroom

this was yummy!

The rice portion, I think it was meant for 2 pax. Flavourful, oily and yummy. Good choice.

beef tartare

Oh my goodness. The beef tartare was wow. Clean taste and nice flavours. I love the texture of the tartare strips.

nakaochi (rib finger)

Nakaochi is also another meat cut which I liked. Hence, I can conclude I liked all the ribs related meats.

squid and mushrooms

doesn't it look like a caterpillar?

Tracy wanted to end the meal with noodles, so we also ordered the fried beef fats rice to try as well.

fried beef fats rice with garlic chips

Oh, another good call! The beef fats rice was yummy. The beef fats was so flavourful!

cold noodles

We spent about ฿6900 for the meal. Thank you to Tracy, Hence and Ivan for sharing the calories!
